Mark McGann and 3 Drama Direct Ltd Practitioners including a Theatre Director (Rob Soulsby-Smith), Director of Photography (Lee Ford) and Theatre Technician (Ashley May) will take over the Andover Lights Theatre for 2 weeks from 1st June 2010 and with 25 students from 2 schools in the Andover area, will simulate the creation of a professional multi-media performance company to fulfil all the Work Experience Applied Learning criteria of the new 14-19 Creative Arts & Media Diploma.
Using the play of Blood Brothers as the subject matter, the students will, under the guidance of Drama Direct, Market, Produce, Stage Manage, Film, Stage and Perform a show for the paying public which will include both live and filmed sequences.
The Schools taking part are Harrow Way Community School and John Hanson School. This project is delivered in conjunction with the Andover District 14-19 Consortium, Test Valley Borough Council, Aim Higher and The Ideas Foundation.
