DRAMA DIRECT is pleased to announce the presentation of a one day INSET at REDBY PRIMARY SCHOOL, Fulwell Road, Sunderland, on 25th September 2009.
This day will consist of three separate workshops each of one hour and fifteen minutes in duration. All delegates will partake of each workshop in turn during the day.
The workshop themes will be as follows:
WORKSHOP ONE: DRAMA STRATEGIES:
This will be a general introduction to using drama strategies with primary age children. Through using role play and detailed character notes, the delegates will be taken through a complete drama scheme of work that can have both a theatre and written final outcome.
WORKSHOP THREE: AN INTRODUCTION TO SHAKESPEARE:
Using active storytelling, delegates will be able to experience how they may engage children in the study of Shakespeare’s stories and characters.
