A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY
Following the nationwide success of these much lauded and unforgettable classes, Mark McGann is now offering new dates for his acting courses. Whether your wish is to discover or rekindle your passion, further your creative prospects, or just have a fabulous time, this is a fantastic opportunity to be coached, guided and inspired by a highly respected, experienced and profiled professional Actor/Director.
Mark McGann, one of the 4 successful McGann Brothers, is now offering his highly respected Stage and Screen Acting Masterclasses to all individuals and theatre groups in the South of England. Specifically designed to be accessible to all-comers and all levels of expertise from 16 to 80 years, first-timers to seasoned professionals, these highly popular one-day courses are both creatively and personally rewarding. Whatever your standard and expectation, these are perfect for you.
THE FORMAT
Both the Stage Acting and the Screen Acting day use a similar format with the essential difference being that one is filmed and one isn’t! Once enrolled, participants are sent their own part in a duologue (two actor) scene approximately two weeks before the Masterclass, from a variety of scripts chosen by Mark. This will give everyone a specific focus for the day, preparing them for scene deconstruction then reconstruction under Mark’s gifted eye, while he reveals some priceless ‘trade secrets’ and offers an in-depth professional view of best practice. The more familiar participants are with their scenes, the more they will get out of the experience. The day will run from approx 10-00am to 5-30pm. All participants will receive a signed completion certificate at the end of the day.

FEEDBACK ON PREVIOUS MASTERCLASSES
What former participants are saying…
Dear Mark, I don’t quite know whether you appreciate what you are doing for us all! Even though I have played at acting, directing and producing in an amateur capacity all these years, these last couple of sessions of Drama Direct have been quite amazing for me.
Adela Forestier-Walker
“Just a quick note to tell you how very much I enjoyed today. You were a fantastic person to work with and I think you set the tone tremendously allowing everyone, regardless of age or experience to get the most out of the workshop. a rare skill! It’s been a long, long time since I did any kind of acting at all, so the chance to spend an entire day, doing what I used to (and still do really) love – working on a script, communing with others and getting great direction was simply brilliant.”
Dawn Sharpe
“Just the most amazing, informative, friendly day – just brilliantly organised and delivered – thank you so much!”
Sarah Evans
“I thought it was an amazing day, learnt a lot, especially about myself”
Jade Wickenden
“Just a quick one to say thanks so much for another fantastic Masterclass on Sunday – the feedback has again been brilliant.”
Darren Bransford (Director – British School of Acting, London)
“A most enjoyable and valuable day. Thank you for including us ‘older ones’! So many summer workshops and courses are aimed at teens and early twenties. Thank you so much”
Heather Seaton
“I would just like to say, once again, thank you so much for the encouragement and support you gave me at the workshop yesterday. It was very inspiring and left me on a real high and feeling very confident. With best wishes and many thanks.”
Peter Eden
“Thank you ever so much for a brilliant day yesterday, I really feel it has benefited my confidence and performing abilities”.
Hannah Henderson
“Thank you so very much for the most amazing day yesterday, your masterclass was the most inspiring acting experience I’ve had and it was fantastic to gain so much, in such little time.”
Charlie Bently
Thank you for another brilliant class yesterday and a big thank you for all your help and your support and encouragement throughout the scene. Since I’ve been coming to your classes I’ve started to feel more confident in my own abilities as an actor and have realised what I was missing out on when I took a break. It’s great to be back and to have your support and help.
